Measure and quote

First step is to assess the area required for turfing, we will measure and determine the amount of turf, top soil and nutrients that are required for the condition of the exsiting soil. a quote will be given and once accepted a time and date organised.

Soil Preperation

In most cases the exsiting soil will need to be cultivated to break up the exstiting ground to allow roots of the new turf to penetrate as deep as possible and allow good water filtration.

Top soil and Nutrients

Top soil is a good option allowing good water filtration and an easy medium for roots to penetrate, however if soil conditoins are good it is not nesessary, Fertiliser, organic nutrients and water crystals help to support growth and retain water for dry periods.

Prepareing the finnished surface

Once all soil has been prepared we will smooth the top surface to make sure there is no large deviations in the soil so mowing is a breeze.

Lay Turf

After all preperation has been done, the turf is lain and watered in.

After care

The first couple of weeks is the most important time for new turf, it must be kept moist at all times as there is no roots into the soil, so regular watering is required until it has settled in.
After the Turf has roots into the ground and is starting to grow, approx 2-3 weeks after lain, it is time to mow your lawn, if you would like regular maintenacne of the lawn i can arrange it for you.
It is important to fertilize your lawn, this sould be done at least once a year preferably at the start of spring when the weather warmes after winter, it can then be fertilised every 3 months to maintain nutrient to keep looking green and lush..
Top soiling your lawn is a good idea once a year during spring,it will enhance your lawn and keep it looking green and lush it also can be used to re grow lost or damaged areas of the lawn after winter frosts
